Do You Suffer from Stage Fright?

Stage fright and public speaking fear are forms of suffering. We who suffer from stage fright are devastated because we know how much we have to give and our own sensitivity has turned against us. We are paralyzed by our fear of public speaking and not fully able to share what we know. As a result, we can’t have the impact we desire to have.

The desire we have to make a difference is frustrated by stage fright. That frustrated desire is the painful suffering. If you suffer from stage fright, you know what I am talking about. You know that you know so much that can help. Yet, you are held back. It hurts!

I don’t know why this happens to some of us. But I do know that there is an evolutionary journey to take to overcome this issue. Conquering stage fright presents a unique pathway to full self-expression. If we are willing to take that journey and transform the fear into flow, we become tremendous speakers for good. The one thing I have learned in 30 years of coaching people with stage fright is that those who have the most stage fright and anxiety always become the most impacting speakers.

My work with myself and my clients is to guide us through the stage fright tension of being the center of attention so that the energy underneath it is freed up and released. Then it can be used to express all that we know with passion.
